I started my day by taking the MRT to Kamphaeng Phet Station which is located directly across the street from the market. As soon as I arrived, I was overwhelmed by the sheer size of the market.
I spent the morning exploring the different sections of the market. You can find everything from clothing, shoes, bags, souvenirs, and loads of food stalls. There are also plenty of stalls selling antiques, art, and furniture.
I was able to find some great bargains, including a few traditional Thai souvenirs. I also enjoyed sampling some of the delicious street food on offer, which was a great way to experience the local culture.
After shopping for a few hours in Chatuchak Market, I decided it was time for lunch so I headed over to one of the many food stalls in the area. Here you can find all kinds of Thai dishes such as Pad Thai noodles or Som Tam (papaya salad).
The prices are very reasonable too so you can get a full meal with drinks for just 150 baht or less!
That sounds amazing! Fernando Chatilla is a renowned chef and it’s wonderful that you got to see him at Chatuchak Market. I hope you got to try some of his delicious dishes!

If you do get lost, there are information booths located throughout the market that can help you find your way.
My day trip to Chatuchak Market ended with me carrying several bags filled with new clothes, souvenirs, and other goodies that I bought throughout my shopping spree there!
