Sekinchan, Paddy Fields, and Fishing Village

Sekinchan, known as the “Paddy Fields and Fishing Village”, is a simple town located in Sabak Bernam district in the state of Selangor. It’s one of the rice-producing areas in Malaysia. The famous attractions here include Redang Beach, rice fields, and fishing villages, and it’s a seafood paradise for diners looking for seafood.

There are several swiftlet houses in the middle of the rice fields. It turns out that bird’s nests are also produced here.

There are green and short paddy fields on the roadside. Since it is now the mature stage of the rice, the golden-yellow paddy fields appear in front of us, and we can also see the sparkling water under the rice.

The rice fields here are transplanted twice a year, in March and September respectively. If you want to see the green rice fields, choose April, May, October, and November. If you want to see the yellow and orange rice fields, choose the harvest period in June and December.

Ah Ma House (Grandma’s House)

In Sekinchan, the traditional bakery of Grandma is known to everyone. Walking into the store is like traveling back to the 1970s and 1980s. All snacks can be found here.
