Dotonbori hotel is in a great location just near the canal and in the popular Dotonbori district. The hotel has 4 giants facade which makes finding the hotel very easily recognizable.
The rooms are small and we had a little extra space provided by the column in the middle. Upon arrival, you can find amenities including toothbrushes with toothpaste, hairbrushes, a loofah-like sponge, disposable slippers, the typical shampoo/conditioner, shaving cream with razors, and many more. Females will receive free items like Shiseido faces products and face masks.
It is just 5 minutes walk from Namba Station. At Kansai Airport, you can simply take the Rapi:t Airport Express to Namba Station. A 37 minutes journey and no need to change another line.
Then you need to walk through all the connected underground atrium to subway exit no 25 and the hotel is just a 5-minute walk from exit no 25.
The Dotonbori hotel had set up its lobby area in a way that it feels more like it a living room than a typical hotel’s lobby. It has three massage chairs, a video game console, three computers with an internet connection and printer, free tea/coffee vending machine, and a cotton candy machine.
Two floors have areas with vending machines, a washer & dryer, and 100 Yen for each load and another 100 Yen for 30 minutes in the dryer.
They have free Ramen and Beer every night from 10.30 pm – 11 pm. It’s very nice. Free coffee is provided 24 hours in the lobby
There is a Lawson convenience store for all your needs right across from the hotel and the subway entrance is just down the street.
